Religious and Cultural Voices Meet in Madrid

Madrid welcomed community leaders, artists and experts in coexistence to mark cultural diversity and peaceful coexistence. The meeting included Clarisa Nieva of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, and Denise González. Speakers shared different experiences and viewpoints on how open dialogue can help build more inclusive communities.

During the event, participants explored themes such as religious freedom, intercultural coexistence and human dignity. Fundación Mejora framed the initiative with Scientology’s interest in education, prevention and civic responsibility. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, noted that cultural and religious diversity contributes to democratic life when accompanied by mutual EU Values understanding and responsibility.
